OPDAG - Paper Doll Studio Magazine Issue 120

Model: The 1930s

Pre-orders are welcome for our 1930s themed issue! Featured on the cover is "Fay at 30" by Brenda Sneathen Mattox. Brenda was our featured artist in 1989 and the theme was The Flirty Thirties. Nearly 30 years has gone by and we figured it was about time to revisit one of the loveliest decades for fashion.

For our feature article, Brenda offers an overview of 1930s fashion, contrasting the make-and-do clothes of the Great Depression and the glamorous fashions of Hollywood's Golden Era. David Wolfe spotlights two prominent figures of the decade—Busby Berkeley and his fantastical film fashions, and style icon Wallis Simpson, Duchess of Windsor. And of course we have lots of paper dolls by our OPDAG members featuring stars, styles and subjects relating to the 1930s. Continuing our image-likeness series, we get tips from Kwei-lin Lum, David Wolfe and Marilyn Henry. This promises to be another enriching issue!

Ships late May 2018.
