PDR 81, 2021 - Here's a fun, colorful issue covering a wide variety of topics... all relating to paper dolls! For our featured theme, Accessories, we've got David Wolfe’s spotlight on Iris Apfel, Brenda Mattox’s history of hats, and Lorna tops things off with a piece on tiaras. We also have a fun look at pop-up paper dolls from Louise Leek, an overview of Grandparent paper dolls from Marguerite Carrithers, a piece on Annie Oakley from Evelyn Bradmon and an artist spotlight on Linda Norton and her whimsical creations.

Full-page paper dolls include Betty Bonnet's Grandparents from 1917, Iris Apfel by Jim Howard, and "Brooches" by Melissa Pepe. Plus a gallery of Accessories-themed paper dolls and 6 pages of costumes for our Accessories Dress-a-Doll! There's so much to enjoy in our gorgeous 48-page magazine!

PDR 82, 2021 - Articles include Ribbon Dolls by Evelyn Bradmon, the History of Fanny Gray (considered to be the first commercial paper doll) by Karen Kurtz, Bobby Socks by Lorna Thomopoulos, Louise Leek's Artist Feature on Barbara Barnett and Brenda Mattox's History of Hats part 2 (1850s-1950s). Our Regency Romance theme is represented by David Wolfe's articles on Regency Fashion and Regency on TV/Film plus many gorgeous paper dolls by artists of today including full page paper dolls by Jim Howard, Julie Allen Matthews, Bailey Holtz and Brenda Sneathen Mattox. The cover paper doll is from the 1934 Whitman book, "Historic Costume Paper Doll Cut-Outs," by Rachel Taft Dixon.

PDR 84, 2022 - You'll be charmed by this joyful issue filled with whimsical art and articles. Our animals theme inspired artists to create clever paper dolls of cats, dogs, birds, bunnies, frogs, foxes and even dinosaurs! For our lead article, our junior contributor Evelyn Bradmon focuses on horse paper dolls. Like many 12-year old girls, she's a little horse crazy! Linda Ocasio spotlights a rare animal series from the St. Louis Dispatch originally called "Toy Talkies" and later "Hickory Hollow Pull-a-Longs." Linda also tells us about advertising collector cards that came in products like coffee and baking powder. Lorna Thomopoulos highlights the work of Louis Wain, the Victorian era artist who popularized cats through his whimsical illustrations. We move away from animals and into the nursery with a look at a wonderful pop-up set from Sweden in a charming article by Bailey Holtz, and Lorna pays tribute to nurses in the UK. Plus we have crafting with the Northern Ohio paper doll club, childhood memories, new book reviews and more! Cover art by Donald Hendricks.
