Vera and Viola, created by Patti Fertel, are based on Edwardian fashions found in the pages of women’s magazines such as Ladies Home Journal and McCall’s from the first decade of the 20th century. These two elegant ladies have extensive wardrobes appropriate for a weekend visit to a grand Vanderbilt mansion.

Patti Fertel has a BA in Art History and a Masters in Social Work. She has collected and designed paper dolls for more than 40 years. Patti has written about and lectured extensively on paper dolls. Her designs are based on contemporary fashion magazines and catalogs from various periods.
